ION TRAZE SELECT

The ION TRAZE SELECT is a hybrid jacket, featuring the same 20,000 mm waterproof and 20,000 g/m2 breathability rated 3-layer panels of the ION SCRUB AMP, but only on the back and arms for weather protection, and a lighter softshell fabric on the front for breathability and comfort. The only taped seams are those around the back and shoulders and we found that in long rain storms we did get water seeping into the jacket. However, breathability is very high. The laser cut perforations on the front and down the arms ensure that the jacket remains airy and light on hot days.

As such we would recommend this jacket more as a three-season shredder for riding on days where the weather may turn a little. The ION TRAZE SELECT features the same self-adjusting hood which works well with a helmet but is very voluminous without, and easy-going fit that will work well at the bar as well as on the bike.

With minimal weather protection, the ION TRAZE SELECT is best kept for the warmer months, where it’s impressive breathability and ventilation play in its favour.
