Syncros SP1.0

SCOTT’s component and accessory brand Syncros is relatively new to the shock pump market. With the SP1.0 they’ve brought a heavyweight to the table, both literally and figuratively. This pump is solid and heavy, fits nicely in your hands and is very comfortable to pump with. The rotary pressure release knob can be controlled very accurately and you can’t release pressure by accident. Although the angled display is comfortable to use, the pump also takes up a bit more space in your backpack than other digital pumps because of it.

The gauge unit itself is the same as in the RockShox pump and, therefore, just as accurate. The valve connection has an activation/control ring and as with the Topeak Pocketshock DXG, the valve can leak if you don’t unscrew the ring far enough before unscrewing the pump head. Nevertheless, it’s a solid, accurate pump, though we’re more likely to use it in the workshop than on the trail, because of its weight.
