Canyon Spectral and Torque

Canyon Spectral CF 8

Canyon fans have long been waiting for an update of the Spectral. And finally in December the company from Koblenz presented their new trail bike. Aesthetically it’s hardly recognizable but at the core it pursues the same goal as its predecessor: maximum riding pleasure! Canyon still uses 27.5″ wheels and pairs them with chunky 2.6″ tires — a combination that gives the bike a very playful character. The carbon frame looks good and also features many clever details such as the integrated seat clamp or the extra-sealed bearings.

Canyon did a great job and the new Spectral already won the group-test in our trail bike comparison-test. Despite the unchanged suspension travel it has improved significantly off-road and should find many enthusiastic fans again thanks to its balanced handling. If you are looking for a bike for rough riding you’ll be looking forward to trying the new Canyon Torque with 180 mm travel.
